I had a positive memorable experience there. The food was great, friendly atmosphere. The waiter "D" was great. The only complaint that I have is the long lines waiting to place an order and that wouldn't happen if the food wasn't great. I give this restaurant 4 stars on the food and another star because the owner and manager opened the doors to my son for his business making a total of 5 stars. I will be back again. God bless Stephanie's and its' staff.

I went to Stephanie's for the first time after such the Aggie Eagle classic. I called in my order ahead of time and it was ready in about 20 minutes. The food quality was better than most soul food restaurants that I've been to. I enjoyed the candied yams and the chicken was fried crispy with the perfect amount of salt and pepper. The Mac and cheese was good but there's better. The melted cheese on top was great but once you've eaten it all it not amazing. One thing I really loved was the sweet potato cobbler. It was and interesting spin on sweet potato pie. I think adding some cinnamon to it makes it a little better too.

Our server was phenomenal and the food was delicious. There was a little wait but the food arrived hot and we'll seasoned. Looking forward to returning.

Ordered a 2 piece Whiting dinner. The large whiting. I’ve gotten this dish many times but never take out. Got home only had one piece. Thought I wouldn’t have to check my bag. Called and let them know. Came back to get the other piece of fish I paid for. They gave me a little piece of fish that looked old. I went and gave it right back. Not to mention that the fish taste old anyway. Their food used to be really good but their service and quality has fallen way off. Also got popcorn shrimp that is not worth the money. I will not be eating here ever again.

We had take-out meals which were wonderfully prepared just as if on plates at the table. The waitress (behind the counter) was a pure joy as we told her we had never been there before. She took her time to show us the menu and answer our questions. The result is that we had exactly what we had been looking for in down-home country cooking. I had the collards and my wife had the fried okra as two of our sides and we felt we had been transported back to eastern North Carolina about 50 years ago. Can't wait to go back and dine-in!
