Great time at Rodys tavern, ended up going there because applebee's was packed and I'm glad we did. Customer service was awesome as well as the food
First and foremost Rody’s Tavern doesn’t deserve the one star that they are getting. The customer service there was garbage. I had eaten there the night before and I left my wings on the table and didn’t realize it until I got home which was about 20 minutes away. I decided to call and see if I could just come pick up the food that I paid for the next day. The lady on the phone that I spoke to was very nice and helpful and told me that I could come back the next day and pick up my food. When I came back to pick up my food the hostess acted as if I was lying to her about coming to pick up my food. That was strike one, she then told me to standby and wait until she got a chance to go look for it in the back. Once she finally looked (10 minutes later), she returned empty handed claiming she couldn’t find them. I then explained to her that I had driven a good distance only because I was told that my food would be there and I asked was there anything that could be done. The hostess then brought over her manager Steve. Steve went on to tell me that they aren’t supposed to keep leftovers for people, so they were thrown away. That’s a fine policy to have, but if I was told otherwise then there should have been something that he could have done for me, but instead he said there is nothing he can do and I could tell he could care less if I was satisfied or not. All of this to say that the employees and management needs some basic training on customer service.
Love Rody's!! Food is fabulous and the staff is always friendly! They have a great assortment of seating options (inside/outside) and more TVs than you can imagine! Tuesday Burger Special is great and they have beer specials EVERY day! A super place to spend time with friends, catch college football/basketball, eat and drink!
My wife hurt her foot at work and her first trip out of the house since surgery was to have her foot checked and placed in a cast again. I wanted to surprise her with a nice bite to eat, so we picked Rody's from our Google recommendations. The manager on duty greeted us at the door and talked with us several times during our meal. He asked if there was anything he could do to help accommodate her and the rest of the staff did the same thing. The food was hot and fresh and the environment was good for kids and adults. We will certainly go back once my wife is back on both her feet.
Love this place. Food is great and reasonably priced. Barbara and Steve, the owners, stop by your table and welcome you and the wait staff and bar personnel are always smiling and accommodating even when they are the busiest. They even have live music on the patio and all the sports games on the tv's inside. I go there often and have never had a bad experience.
