Tools, construction materials, electronics and just about every product category have been available to meet our needs.
I went to my local and favorite Lowe's store with my wife. She had too many good choices of plants. Walking with her I saw the weed and feed right next to the grass seed that I need to aerate, overseed and winter weed and feed my lawn. We were in and out with no problems and were on our way home.
Spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find an employee. Very few seem to know how to use their computer system, where things are located, or their products. Purchased an item only to get home and find they didn't give us the ignition key and had left their lock on. Went back and waited more time. Told by one employee I needed to go find another employee to help. (This happened both times we were there) No employee was there. Had to return to customer service 5 min after pushing help button to ask them to call an employee. They can't give us a key to get rid of the lock, but told us to trailer it back so they could. If I wanted to work for Lowe's on a Saturday I'd get a job there. Two days of watching employees struggle to understand their product, policies, computer system, procedures, and I am done.
From the stocking employees to management staff we have never had a negative experience at any Lowe's store.
Apparently Ithe young man at the corner that makes keys doesn't know what he's doing. So far 2 keys made and neither one works yet. Maybe 3rd time is a charm.
Over the last 35 years we have purchased thousands of dollars in products and services from Lowe's in Greensboro, mostly from the W. Elmsley location (since it was built).
Lowe's also offers a 10% Veteran discount with photo ID- A much appreciated benefit to an old sailor like myself, I tend to spend my discretionary dollars at businesses that honor our vets.
Not gonna lie they hire idiotic people not people that know about the things you asking. If you ask about something the workers don't even know what they're talking about. Overall it was good and a friendly environment but if you go there without knowing exactly what you want and where it would be, your screwed.
Lowe's is a good neighbor.
