I like to go there Tuesdays between 3-6pm to get the 75 cent steamed oysters. They also have steamed shrimp and wings on special during that time. It is all delicious.
Great food and drinks! Have been in a few times while in Greensboro, Sharron and Marie have been more than amazing every time I have stopped in! Will definitely come back next time I'm in town!
Breanna waited on us in the Kernersville JButlers location. She was very attentive and went out of her way to accommodate us. AND the food was very good!
In terms of restaurants connected to hotels, I expect decent food with passable service with higher than merited prices. I went later in the evening and picked a seat at the bar. I was promptly greeted by a cordial server, Lois who took my drink order. I will say this, Lois was very attentive, even anticipated what I may want. She was more than I expected. The food was about what I expected. The fajita salad was mostly iceberg lettuce. The pico wasn't very tasteful, but overall the salad worked. The best part of the salad was the steak which was flavored well (maybe too much for others, but after a full day of work and travel, I appreciated it) and actually cooked medium (ok maybe a little medium rare). Three stars is about what I expect. Lois, especially, and the steak bumped it up to four for me.
J.Butlers restaurant was beyond unwelcoming. No host to be a greeter, waited 5 mins for a server to sit me. The Manager never spoke, and kept "mean mugging" as I looked over the menu. One of the servers I was familiar with from the area, great service by the server. However I was told I couldn't be there because she couldn't have any "friends" in the restaurant. Remind you guys I had no clue she even worked here.We went to high school together. When I asked to speak with a manager, she took forever to come out and then walked away when I asked if I was welcomed here or not. I was told no I couldn't be here. SHEILA the manager began to argue with one of the servers in the back. Didn't get a chance to order food, I stopped after one drink. I will never come here again simply because of the rude customer service. Disgraceful, I know this is not who the company would want representing them. Remind you I am an African American women one of the only ones in the restaurant besides for the server, however everyone else was greeted with smiles. I called to speak with a manager days later, I let her know the situation on 6/6/17 she told me "I am not at liberty to discuss this situation" and hung up. I called back no response, after 3 times she answered I asked who the Gm or owner was the manager hung up again! Never received an apology or the Owners contact information.
The servers are friendly too.
