I wanted to take the time to say thank you to Southern States!!! The plant selection is phenomenal and always healthy. Staff there has always been knowledgeable and you can tell a lot goes into training their employees. We also noticed a huge difference in the straw we received from home improvement stores which was basically dust with mold vs what Southern states offered us which was much larger almost double size bails and solid almost green tint. The Staff is also wonderful and managed well. I've never felt like I couldn't go in and ask them a question they could not answer. Whatever your doing at this store keep it up!

Went there to but Kentucky 31 grass seed and they wanted 74.00 for a 50lb bag. Tractor supply sells Kentucky 31 for 57.99. I asked to prive match and they said the only way they price match is with an ad sale price. I just wanted them to match Tractor Supply regular price of 57.99 and they refused. I will never shop at Southern States in summerfield again.
Southern States is my go - to store for wild bird seed. Prices beat those at Lowe's and Home Depot, and our birds love it. Buy the larger bags (20 pounds) for the best savings. Friendly, helpful staff are on hand to answer questions. And if you go in the spring, you might get to see the baby ducks, chickens, and turkeys. Prices on other items may or may not be competitive, but the location is a big plus for Northern Guilford County.
