It's a nice trail through the woods. You see trees and a wetland area, the trail seems well maintained, good place to walk the dog or hike in the woods. I like that the trail is a loop and the mileage is marked every 1/4 mile. It's not a "Wow!" Destination trail, but if you're in the area it's a nice Piedmont walk in the woods.
Nice place for a short day hike.
Well maintained trails, easy walking, quiet. We were on a guided tour with Kelly today and she was so knowledgeable about the park and its natural wonders. We had a fun time & will be back for the longer blue heron loop trail later.
