There's public and free events here regularly throughout the year. The place is pretty great. Parking is the ONLY downside to ANY event here.
Peaceful beautiful great place to relax read a book take in the fresh air
As far as being here without an event... Well.. I guess it's nice enough. A lot of work was put in and the kids LOVE the playground there - but I personally would rather go almost anywhere but congested downtown and park a mile away to go to the awesome park and fountain.
I go here almost every day to get some fresh air while I eat my lunch. It's a lovely place with lots of seating space and greenery. It's also a fun gathering place that hosts live music and other events every so often.
The only issue with the park is the abundance of homeless people there. This can often make the park feel unsafe. Moreover, it's so sad to pull up for work in the morning and walk past a man sleeping on a literal granite slab because he has nowhere else to go. We as a city have to do better.
Beautiful park in downtown Greensboro. Places to sit, play and people watch. Very close to several restaurants, bars, clubs, and museums. Lots of parking near by. Free parking after 6pm and on the weekends. Events such as beer and wine tastings, road races, bbq festivals, free music and many other activities are normally there weekly.
First Friday of the month combined with Tree Lighting in downtown Greensboro was spectacular! It absolutely was a fantastic way to kick off the month as well as trhe end of the year & all the be of good cheer it entails.
