The park is moderately small but it's a good size to spend a few hours. They have paddle boats and play sets for small children. Fishing is allowed for $2 a day. No swimming. Overall it is beautiful and quiet. A good spot to ride bikes.
I don't know why I didn't expect this, but if you are a young person that doesn't appreciate a place full of prejudice and white privilege, don't go here. I've never felt so much pitbull hate at a dog park, and I got side-eyed the whole time by nearly everyone I passed, -it's not like I dress or look particularly strange. The only people who were nice to me were from an event crew that had no affiliation with the park. I'm never going back.
Love this park, for a run, or walk, or cycling, plus the historic education. Nature is calling you each season to enjoy.
Love this park, its quiet, pretty, surrounded by fun & interesting activities, and a superior place for a quick health walk/jog with a primary path that corcles the (large pond/small lake?) Either way it's got lush greens relaxing water & plenty of places to stop & take it in a bit.
Beautiful park! It's connected to several of Greensboro's major attractions. The posted hours for the gates opening and closing is saddening. Other than that, great experience walking there.
