If it wasn't for the prostitutes running men and drug dealers in and out this would be a great hotel. When you see someone drop a needle and other drugs it makes you want to get your family together and leave. I do have to say management was quick to act but I do think they need to train their employees signs to look for to keep this activity out of high-end places. I won't be returning here not just because if the activity but when you are paying $118 a niggt and the toilet paper feels like sand paper and when you are pregnant this can be a major issue. I would think a high-end hotel would have softer toilet paper. This is the only one that uses the same kind as a low end hotel.
This location is clearly one of the more dated in the Hawthorne family, but still a nice stay. The management was very friendly and the room was clean. No complaints.
As for the cons. Well the sheets are rather scratchy, and the beds aren't particularly soft and have indentions worn into them.
It’s a place to sleep. I would not recommend it unless there is no other place to stay. The lobby hallway smells like bleach but as you enter the elevator to any other floor (I was the 2nd floor ) it smelled like food throughout. the room smelled liked old food. The refrigerator kitchenette is literally in the same room as your bed so all you hear is the rattling of the fridge until you turn the A/C unit in and then that rattling drowns out the fridge.
It's a pretty nice hotel especially if you're going to be staying for a good long while. The rooms have a kitchenette with plates, pots, pans, silverware and even a dishwasher for it all. The front desk also has board games and movies that they check out to you for free.
All of that combined with a free breakfast makes it a pretty solid place to stay.
I chose to check out and the management didn’t charge me. staff seemed friendly enough.
Nice and clean. I like the new decor. Too bad they don't have gift cards in the main lobby. I heard the hotel staff gets them for free.
