I have stayed at plenty of hotels that are under renovation and this is by far the most inconvenient renovation stay I have had. My room is partially renovated, which may sound like a bonus, but in reality there are holes in my walls where light fixtures should be and where the tv should be hung. The nearest light to my bed is across the room so I have to get out of bed to turn the light on and off. Luckily, i travel with a reader light for my books at night but thats typically what I use on a plane, I have never needed it in my hotel room before. I also do not have any outlets near my bed, my guess is they would be attached to the missing light fixtures. The night shift guy brought me an extension cord, but the staff was suppose to address my room issues today and that did not happen. Also, the breakfast is only fruit and cereal because of renovations. Ive always still had a hot breakfast offered at hotels under renovations even if they moved it to a different area of the hotel. Yes, these are first world problems, but when youre paying for a hotel you should expect the quality you pay for. The only reason i gave 2 stars is because the staff is nice. This hotel is an extreme disappointment!
While I understand that it's being renovated and the staff was polite and professional, there's no excuse for not having a placeholder for soap while showering (one literally has to pick up the soap from the floor each time it's needed or else hold it the entire time) and no light whatsoever on one side of the bed.
The hotel was very nice though we could not get the window open in the room. It seems as though it was screwed shut. Breakfast was good.
The inn was undergoing some construction and they were too loud about it. Could hear them even thru the closed doors and windows.
Love this place! Stayed there over the weekend for GHOE! Absolutely amazing! Bobby. Nicole and Janet were great and polite. We will be staying there next year!
