I highly recommend Schiffmans at Friendly for anyone looking for beautiful jewelry. And they carry everything - from David Yurman to exotic watches to Mikimoto pearls and - my personal jewelry favorite - John Hardy (they have Hardy trunk shows there, too - for me, it's like a kid looking through a candy store window!) Ask for Curtis too and tell him I sent you. ;-)
Curtis Richardson is particular is wonderful. He went out of his way to assist me on a number of things, he's super-nice and I ended up making a friend while shopping. Can't beat that!
I went here with a black friend and the guards were acting like he was going to steal something or pull some hiest like it's grand theft auto. My friend said he overheard one of the gaurds say "watch him" to a officer really bad impresion for my first time there, the other workers were fine but I don't recommend going there if your black, the guards really are over discriminating black people.
I went there yesterday to have a watch that was given to me by a friend for Christmas resized and even though the watch was not purchased there, they treated me like their best customer. I highly recommend them.
Schiffman's is the absolute best jeweler in the city. My daughter is fascinated by jewelry and the sales staff are ready and willing to let her look at and try on anything they have. They will always have our business.

Everyone at Schiffman's is so nice, friendly and helpful. They aren't pushy with sales and are very patient and informative when you are looking at individual items. They take their time and focus on you and what you say you need or are looking for. I've also had a couple of things sized and repaired there, and was quite satisfied with with the wait time and the quality of the repair/sizing.
