Doctors there are really sweet, they could calm you down when you feel scare or nervous for your first time check up. They will explain carefully if you're not understanding.
I felt very comfortable and well-cared for at this office. Everyone from the receptionists to the OB-GYNs were very nice, friendly, and professional. I saw Dr. Miller, and I was extremely happy with her. She met with me in her office before performing the routine exam, and sat next to me in a chair rather than sitting behind her desk as she talked to me about the nature of my visit and my pertinent medical history. It was a comforting show of respect for me as the patient. The exam itself was quick and she was very good about explaining what she was doing at every point. One of the most impressive things to me was that the exam gowns they provide are cloth, cut modestly, and have ties to keep them closed when appropriate. Much better than the flimsy paper "gowns" I was used to at other offices! (I would add, though, that I am a size 16 woman and the gown was plenty roomy enough to cover me, but a much larger woman may feel less covered or need a larger gown. I'm not sure whether they have larger ones available.) If you are concerned about fat-shaming from a doctor, I can only tell you my experience, but as a small-plus-size woman I felt comfortable. My BMI is borderline obese, but it was not mentioned, nor was my weight. The only mention of weight at all came when we discussed hormonal pills and the doctor mentioned that a patient's weight affects the dosage they need. However, there was a BMI chart posted in the exam room, and I can't say how larger women than me might be treated. In my experience it was a very respectful and comfortable environment, so I would recommend them (and especially Dr. Miller) very highly.
Last week was my first visit to GSOWHC. I am sure that I am not the only one who does not look forward to that type of visit. I was pleasantly surprised by Debbi's nurse, Joy. I felt at ease right away. The rest of the visit went the same way. If you are scared of that once a year visit or are just looking for a good experience with a kind team of professionals, this is the place for you!
I've been with Dr. Cindy for years - since my kids were small and before the office was in this location. I too have found staff here less than helpful on occasion, and can understand how belinda might feel that way outside the exam room. But the medical care and doctor relationship I've experienced is very good.
this is a business that will sit on a bill under $10, then only bill you a year later after you have moved. WTF is that? If I don't pay a bill within 90 days I can get my credit destroyed, but they can take their merry fracking time, the decide a year later that I owe $5.00. Absolutely ridiculous. I think I should send them pennies. Terrible way to run a business.
