The wait time is sometimes long to your medication.
I've been shopping at the Pyramid Village WalMart for more than six years and I have a much higher opinion of it than the other reviews suggest. The staff is friendly and helpful and, if they're out of a product, which happens occasionally, will let you know when the supply truck is due back and when you can expect to be able to buy it. WalMart is the only pharmacy in town that carries ReliOn products which means I can buy insulin and syringes at a very reasonable price which is a fraction of the cost elsewhere. As a diabetic, without WalMart, I would be unable to purchase insulin, as the drug companies have raised the price tremendously and my health insurance no longer covers it. Without Walmart, I would be dead and that's not an exaggeration. Furthermore, in the past, staff members elsewhere in the store have also been extremely helpful, such as two years ago, when I needed a scrub brush with a handle, which were sold out. After I asked an employee, whose name I didn't get, about it, he told me the truck was coming in and would be unloaded later that morning. Even though I wasn't planning on staying long enough for the item to be set out, before I left, the same young man found me and presented me with the item I was seeking. He had taken the time to go out to the truck, find the brush and then bring it to me. Last year, another gentleman, named Evander, was very helpful in helping me locate a discount card I though I had accidentally left in the electronics department. Another time, when buying glasses, I left my wallet on the counter and only realized it when I got to the checkout. I went back to the optical store and the staff there had found it and returned it to me, while the checkout person held my order until I could return. These people work hard and do their best to be nice to customers who are, and I've witnessed this personally, frequently impolite. This is also the only WalMart on this side of town and without it, I would have to drive for miles to get to another. For those reasons and more, I greatly appreciate this store.
Don't answer the phone & so unprofessional.
The associates in the pharmacy are very rude and not helpful at all. They never have the medicines on hand and they take forever to order them.
This Wal-Mart pharmacy has to be one of the worse pharmacies I've ever been to. The entire pharmacy staff and this includes the pharmacist also, needs to have a refresher course in customer service. I waited patiently in line many times, if you watch the employees the ones along side the pharmacist closely they never look up or make eye contact with their customers. I guess they're afraid someone will ask them a question. Just ridiculous. I have no prescriptions at Wal-Mart anymore.
