Im not even going to lie. I did not enjoy my first experience with Sona in greensboro. This post is for everyone that wants to know the knitty gritty about laser hair removal. I chose Sona because of its 4+ out of 5 star rating opposed to ideal image with its 2 star rating. If you have been approved for financing..the process is lengthy..especially if a spouse has their name on the loan. They have to go with you the first day to sign papers. And your day 1 wait time is very long even with an appointment..just make sure you have nothing to do that day, you will be there a few hours! On day one..you have the option to use an "In House" numbing cream. Do not let them (Megan) talk you out of using it your first treatment! Without the cream I could not complete my first treatment. My day 1 nurse doing my treatment was horrible..she made me uncomfortable, wasnt at all accommodating and was very impatient with me. Granted she was new...there is still no excuse. She was also not very thorough. Not at all what I expect out of a $2,000 procedure. It was 6 weeks until my second procedure. They give you a questionaire on arrival about your last visit. Needless to say, It was poorly rated. They gave me a different woman. She was wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Gave my view of Sona a complete turn around. What does laser hair removal feel like? In all honesty in my case it felt like I was getting a tattoo on my face because I have some coarse hair. The more coarse your hair the more painful it is. My advice to you is...ask for the numbing cream and request an experienced nurse to do your procedure and everything will be fine. I havent completed my 6 treatments yet and I don't yet know the outcome..so im sure ill be back to review.
The office has no problem calling and emailing me to see if I want to buy more packages, but no one can reach out to fix this issue of my dissatisfaction. I would not recommend going to any Sona office at large because of this and will be utilizing other services in the future.
My tech Rachel was awesome and the experience was relaxing and fun actually. She took care of me and made me feel comfortable with her conversation and service. Great!!

The corporate level of this company is beyond unsatisfactory. I had already paid for my full package and received some of my treatment from one of the offices in Charlotte. My results were not at all where I wanted them to be, but I figured this was normal. I transferred to the Greensboro office after I moved and one of the women working told me I was on much lower strength laser doses than what was typically used for the point I was at in treatment. No one had told me this was the case, but it explained my subpar results. I continued with the final two treatments in my package at Greensboro but after spending $1,000 and finishing 7 treatments, only about 20% of the hair was fully removed. I don't live in Greensboro but drove over (40 min-1 hr) on two separate occasions to meet with the nurse there about comp-ing me for a few further treatments, as I should be owed for unsatisfactory service at the other office. The whole thing has been an ordeal for months now. I've been calling the office for weeks waiting on a response but apparently corporate hasn't gotten back. This is horrible business practice and customer service. It's extremely frustrating to have paid this kind of money for these results.
